Dr. Cindy Vasseur-Michel, podiatrist

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences, she chose to pursue a master’s degree in fundamental research (in the field of experimental medicine) at the Université de Montréal. During her master’s studies, she realized that despite her interest in the field of health, experimental medicine did not appeal to her. That is why she continued her studies to obtain her doctorate in podiatric medicine at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières.

Thanks to her studies in podiatry, she has developed varied skills in the private and public sectors, both in Quebec and abroad. Indeed, she completed several months of internships in foot and ankle surgery in various podiatric clinics in Quebec and at the national hospital of Guadeloupe. In addition, she spent several months learning complex wound care at the Clinique du pied diabétique of the CISSS de Lanaudière, at the Clinique des Plaies Complexes in Lévis and at the Unité du pied diabétique de la Guadeloupe.

Thanks to her academic background and internship experience, she is qualified to work with a varied clientele. To better serve Montreal’s community, she is currently pursuing studies in MDCM (from Latin medicinae doctorem and chirurgiae magistrum) at McGill University.
